Golf Course Architecture Collection Digitization Project

Help enhance access to our collections by supporting the digitization of our Golf Course Architecture Collection.

This collection includes more than 330 previously unprocessed architectural plans that have been documented and indexed for research. The drawings, which date from 1884 to approximately 2011, represent club and course designs from around the world – including plans and artwork for 22 states across the U.S. as well as England, Italy and Thailand.

The collection includes architectural plans from some of the world’s most iconic golf courses, including Royal Dornoch Golf Club, Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, Winged Foot Golf Club, Chicago Golf Club, Augusta National Golf Club, Pine Valley Golf Club and Muirfield Village, among others.

Contributing to this project will allow the Museum to engage the services of an outside vendor with the special equipment required to digitize the large-format plans which can then be made available for research. Digital preservation of the plans will make this collection more accessible to the research community and will preserve them for future generations.
